Sheila McNally and the excavations of Diocletian’s Palace (1968-75)

Dr Ivan Mirnik and dr Ante  Rendić-Miočević will give a lecture at 6.45 p.m. on November 28 in Split City Museum (Papalićeva 1). This lecture about extensive joint excavations carried out in Diocletian’s Palace between 1968 and 1975 is included in the programme of the conference Diocletian’s Palace in the works of Adam, Clérisseau and Cassas.

“The Most Glorious Place in the Universal World”: Rome in the Age of the Grand Tour, a lecture

Professor John A. Pinto will give a lecture at 6.30 p.m. on November 27 in Split City Museum (Papalićeva 1). This lecture is thematically related to this project, and it is included in the programme of the conference Diocletian’s Palace in the works of Adam, Clérisseau and Cassas.

The Classical antiquity genre in 19th century Art, a lecture

Dr Irena Kraševac, member of the project team, will give a lecture at 6.30 p.m. on November 26 in the premises of the Studia Mediterranea Centre of the Split Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences (Poljana kraljice Jelene 3, Split). This will be the first in a series of lectures thematically related to this project, to be held in conjunction with the several-years-long programme of public lectures in the Cvito Fisković Centre of the Institute of Art History, Split.
