On Friday, April 7, at 5 pm the Institute of Art History in Zagreb will host a panel on the Chronogeographical Database of Grand Tourism in Dalmatia in the 18th and the 19th Century, with a introductionary lecture about the Grand Tour Dalmatia research project progress, focused on the presentation given by a team members at the conference Slavic Tower of Babel in Poznan. The database is being developed as part of the research project.
The research team will be joined by Damir Gamulin and Bruno Babić, the database designers, Irena Šimić, head of Documentation and Archives at the Institute of Art History, and the PhD students at the Institute of Art History. The aim of the panel is to look into different approaches to database development and the role of a database in generating innovative methodological practices. The panel is open to public. We are looking forward to a lively and informative discussion, which will help us reflect on our experiences and improve our future work.
